Finding Balance in our day to day lives can be a challenge. It is nice to take a break from our normal routines to destress and relax. Yoga is one of my favorite exercises to do when I need to unwind, quiet my thoughts and focus on my breath. We spend all day balancing our work and personal lives while ironically neglecting our literal sense of balance. Solid physical balance is more than just being able to stand on one foot: The ability to balance prevents future injuries, improves your focus and relieves stress. I will be showing you four easy poses you can do on next beach trip.
- Take your time – move into each pose slowly and remain completely aware of what your entire body is doing.
- Work on each pose from the ground up: Start with aligning your feet, then legs, torso, arms and head.
- Keep your mind relaxed and focus on your breathing.
1. WARRIOR II POSE
Named for a fierce warrior and increases stamina.
2. DOWNWARD – FACING DOG
Offers the ultimate all-over, rejuvenating stretch.
3. BRIDGE POSE
Bridge Pose can be whatever you need—energizing, rejuvenating, or luxuriously restorative.
4. SALUTATION SEAL
An excellent way to induce a meditative state of awareness.
Balance in our lives will give us effective responses when we encounter stressful situations. It is possible to manage a full schedule with commitments if you are able to develop a life balance. The best way to improve your balance? Learn easy yoga poses you can do anytime, anywhere – I find these to be especially helpful when you’re in the middle of a stressful situation or have a tough decision to make.
