Can you believe its only a little over a week until Christmas? This year has actually flown by and I’m kind of hoping that 2017 slows down just a tad. I wanted to create a last minute gift guide for everyone on your list. I did do a unisex gift guide to inspire you on what kind of gifts I think anyone of any particular age would love. These list showcases pieces that I would love to gift / receive as a gift. I’m almost done shopping for the loved ones on my list but these are few things I will be gifting. I found men can never have enough shirts, women love perfumes and babies always love adorable in tartan print. Click on any image to get a better idea of where to find them.

I hope these spark some inspiration for your holiday shopping. Leave any more of your holiday gift ideas in the comments section below! Have a merry christmas love.

With Love Always,

Your closet is one place you visit every single day, so whether it’s tiny or huge, it should make you happy. Whether you are working with a walk-in closet, a dresser and shallow closet or some other combination, creating your dream closet is all about being creative. Even the smallest of studios can have a glamorous, organized closet. Here are five tips to help you get started!

1. CLEAN IT OUT – The first step to creating your dream closet is by removing clutter. What is the point of storing and organizing items you no longer wear, want, or use? Do you remember seeing closet inspirations on Pinterest? Notice how perfect and color-coordinated they are?  Follow this handy guide from MakeSpace to cleaning out your closet, and then let’s get organizing!

2. GROUP BY SIZE AND COLOR –  hang items such as dresses, skirts, and button-downs. Drawers and dressers are great for pants and t-shirts, and always fold sweaters (hanging will stretch them!). Try organizing similar colors like whites, beige, blues, blacks together. It will help create a clean and modern look to your closet just like the ones we see on pinterest.

 3. DISPLAY YOUR ACCESSORIES- Use your dresser top or shelves to display accessories and jewelry.  Bookcases are wonderful for storing/organizing accessories and shoes.Try clear or clearly-labeled bins and baskets for items like scarves and small bags. Rotate out seasonal items, as well sweaters can go into hidden storage during warmer months. Making sure you can see and thus grab everything will make it much easier to get ready in the morning.

4. EDIT YOUR FAVORITES – What are your ten key pieces you used most often to create outfits? Put them in the front where they are more visible and accessible.Wear your ten favorite pieces, in as many combinations as possible, for a week. See how that feels. If things are going well, try a second week. If you are missing a key piece, pull it out of the back of the closet; it’s not the end of the world if you wear 11 essential pieces of clothing.

5. CUSTOMIZE YOUR WALL AND FLOOR SPACE – Make it personal and simple. Add some simple interior accessories such as floor rugs, wall pictures, jewelry hangers with accents of gold, silver or rose gold. Add an accent/signature couch or maybe a TV if you have enough space. Wallpapering the back of a bookcase for a pop of personalization and color or display a piece of art that makes you smile while you get dressed. Lighting is very important. You want to be able to see all the cute stuff in your closet If you’ve got a walk-in, make sure the overhead lighting is adequate. In smaller spaces, clip-on lamps and LED lights for shelves can be lifesavers. Adding mirrors where possible will expand light and, of course, let you check out your outfit.

What do you think? Do you have any other tips for creating a dream closet space?

This #GivingTuesday post has been sponsored by Stop Hunger Now in conjunction with the NC Blogger Network.

As we are approaching the holiday season, many of us spend times with our family and friends. There are also loved ones who don’t have the privilege to spend time with their families or have proper meals that we are fortunate to have everyday.

I am partnering with Stop Hunger Now and NC Blogger Network to spread the word about world hunger. Approximately 792.5 million people in the world do not get the food they need to live a healthy life. That is nearly one out of every nine people on earth. That figure is down 167 million over the past decade and is 216 million less than in 1990-1992. Source: 2016 FAO Stats.

Stop Hunger Now

If you weren’t aware, Stop Hunger Now is a North Carolina based charity that helps to end hunger globally. Stop Hunger Now, believes it is possible to end extreme poverty, hunger and injustice. They also believe we can create a world where no one goes hungry – By 2030. But they need you.

Through Stop Hunger Now’s meal distribution and sustainable development projects, they are helping whole communities rise out of poverty. You can help, too. Your support means life to thousands around the world who suffer from hunger.

Our gift will help build a firm foundation of support for children like Anderson in Zambia.  Anderson, who lost both of his parents, lives with his grandmother in the Chainda Compound Lusaka West, which is characterized by high levels of illiteracy and unemployment. He’s made great progress since he began receiving Stop Hunger Now meals distributed to the school by Mercy Ministries International.

Once a child, with very little energy who rarely interacted with his classmates, Anderson is now cheerful and attentive in his classes and enjoys interacting with other children at school. “From the time Anderson started receiving Stop Hunger Now meals, his health has tremendously improved and he has been frequently coming to school,” said Levinson Mwale, Anderson’s teacher. “I am proud of Anderson, knowing him for more than 4 years now, that he has a very big dream to achieve what he wants to. I am hoping that he continues to dream big and that he will be able to give back in the community.” Every gift, no matter the size, helps children like Anderson, children who have hopes and dreams for their future.

Join in by giving to Stop Hunger Now on #GivingTuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, and consider signing up for monthly contributions by clicking here Stop Hunger Now. You, too, can become one of our dedicated donors who celebrates Giving Tuesday every month.

6 Ways To Turn Creative Anxiety To Productivity

Self-criticism, stress and anxiety are related to being gifted, talented and creative. Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed while doing what you love?  It’s called creative anxiety. Anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress. If not, taken care off, it can affect your productivity. We can manage our energies by what we allow our minds to think . If you can accept that some anxiety is inevitable, you may be able to learn how to work with it instead of against it.

1. Stretch.

Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins are neurotransmitters in the brain that have been shown to improve mood, reduce symptoms of depression, and relieve stress and anxiety.  Endorphins are essentially an all-natural antidepressant.  Additionally, flexibility and strength gained from exercising can help to prevent anxiety.  Who isn’t happier when they aren’t in pain or stressed all the time?

2. Breathe.

Our breathing changes when we are feeling anxious. We tend to take short, quick, shallow breaths, or even hyperventilate; this is called “over-breathing”.  When having anxiety or panic attacks, take long, slow breath in through your nose, first filling your lower lungs, then your upper lungs. Hold your breath to the count of “three”. Exhale slowly through pursed lips, while you relax the muscles in your face, jaw, shoulders, and stomach.

3. Talk To A Friend.

Reducing anxiety is often about distraction, since your mind can be your worst enemy when you have severe anxiety symptoms. A very effective technique is to talk to someone you like and trust, especially on the phone. Talking to nice people keeps your mind off your symptoms, and the supportive nature of friends and family gives you that added boost of confidence.
4. Listen To Good Music.Listening to your favorite music can have a powerful effect on your anxiety. They key is to not just choose songs you like. The key is also to make sure you’re listening to music that represents the way you want to feel. Happy or relaxing music, not just any music. The reality is that music does affect emotions. Listening to an upbeat song will help ease away the stress.
5. Living in Today.
Live in the moment. Sounds cliche, but when you learn to indulge in the moment, you forget why you are anxious. Let yourself experience the fear and try to live the life anyway – you will find that your anxiety tends to dissipate with it. This helps you become stronger mentally, physically and emotionally. It will help you handle any situation thrown your way.
6. Pray.
Prayer and meditation helps put the mind at peace. When we talk to God about our concerns, we are giving Him a chance to take care of our worries. Living it in His hands, will  help relieve mental stress and put your mind in perspective. Prayer is the number one key to fighting any kind of anxiety. God will always come through, no matter what the situation may be.

Creative anxiety and stress is universal and experienced by everyone. It is important to take breaks when you start to feel burden or overwhelmed. Go for a walk, shop, eat, talk, dance, exercise, do anything that will put your brain on a relaxed mode and live in the moment.

“Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible”. – Francis Of Assisi
