PORTION SIZING – RUBBERMAID BALANCE MEAL KIT REVIEW

With the start of the New Year, losing a few pounds is often high on many people’s “to do” list. You may even be thinking of trying the latest fad diet, joining a gym or a juice cleanse. As they always say! the key to losing weight starts in the kitchen. I am firm believer that you can eat anything you want, but in moderation. So what is Portion control you say?

POTION CONTROL is eating smaller, reasonable portions rather than over eating allows your lunch to energize and invigorate you instead of make you sluggish and sleepy. If you’re starving, you’re more likely to eat an extra-large portion. For most people, the best plan is to eat three well-designed meals and one snack. The new Rubbermaid balance meal kit allows for easy portion control planning. The containers are measured into cup sizes of right serving for each food group. The kit also includes a meal planning guide with recipes and food ideas. These containers are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe.

I’ve rounded up some portion-control tricks which can help you get 2017 off to a great start and help you shed unwanted pounds. Many of these tricks are rooted in behavior change which serve as cues to gently remind us to eat mindfully, to eat more slowly, and to eat less.

  • Start with baby steps: instead of licking the plate clean tonight, practice portion control & moderation.
  • Eat Breakfast! It helps fuel your day
  • Cut your pizza pie into smaller pieces
  • Beware of low-fat, sugar free and no-sugar added foods, they are not alway healthy
  • Commit to cooking more in 2017!

I would love to hear your portion-control tips that have worked for you. Here’s to a happy  and healthy 2017!

With Love Always! xoxo

  • It can be tough to implement portion control because your stomach is used to a lot of food, so you’re right, taking baby steps and slowly cutting back is so important!

I totally agree that portion control is something that is rooted and behavior and that it can be fixed if a person really wants to. That aside, I love that you’re giving this a shot and I hope you kill it!
