David Tennant Bares All: Actor Goes Nude for Latest Role

David Tennant, the Scottish actor best known for his roles in Doctor Who and Broadchurch, recently took a huge leap in his career by going nude for a role in his latest film, “The Escape Artist”.

Tennant plays a barrister in the BBC drama, which also stars Toby Kebbell, Sophie Okonedo and Ashley Jensen. It tells the story of a brilliant lawyer who manages to get a murderous client acquitted, only to find out that he’s done the wrong thing.

The actor put himself out there and took a huge gamble by going nude for the role.

“It’s not something I’ve done before,” Tennant told the press. “I thought, ‘If I’m going to do this, I’m going to do it properly’.”

He went on to explain that he felt a responsibility to his character and wanted to portray him as authentically as possible.

The actor said that he was surprised by how comfortable he felt during the shoot. “When you’re in the moment and you’re playing a scene, you forget that you’re naked.”

Tennant’s bold move has been praised by many and has undoubtedly helped to raise the profile of the film.
